02:02 pm - No Work Tomorrow!
Today was supposed to be my really short day at work, but I need money so I picked up a couple more hours.
At least I am off tomorrow, Sunday and Monday. :D

02:23 pm - Wow!
I am actually done my big monthly report today!! I wasn't expecting to be finished for a couple more days. Another report done early!!
Now I can enjoy the rest of the week with little stress. Just in time for the holidays!
Earlier today, I had a really rough point. I was working, making myself lunch of tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches, and in the middle of running back and forth from work to cooking, both of my cats got sick and threw up on the carpet. So I was running to the kitchen to cook, to the home office to work, and to the bedroom to clean up cat vomit. I actually for the first time in my life, screamed at the top of my lungs in frustration. I felt so good letting it out.
Lunch did not get burnt, the cat mess got cleaned up and my work was done flawlessly. Whew.
Then after lunch was eaten, I started working on my report...the one I was so happy about in the beginning of this post. YAY me!

03:20 pm - Back To Phones
Ugh. Hubby and I need money very badly so it is back to adding customer service calls to my daily routine.
I am just so spoiled, not having to take calls for a while. But it is inevitable. If it wasn't for my promotion, I would have had to take calls 40 hours a week anyways. I don't know why I am complaining.
Here is why I am complaining:
I can only take calls at night because that is the only time my dog is asleep and won't bark at every person who passes the house.
If I ever need to take calls during the day, I will have to invest in a better noise-cancelling headset than what I have.
Oh well. Onward and Upward!

09:48 am - Office Furniture
I was able to order a cheapo but necessary file cabinet for my home office. I ordered via Office Depot and for orders over $50 it is free shipping. I should be getting the fole cabinet by Tuesday. YAY!
Now I can at least get a little more organized.
On the negative side, that also means I have to clean this office and get rid of the clutter in order to squeeze that cabinet in here.
ACK!

02:20 pm - Need Time Off
I am looking foward to the holidays. I can finally take a day or two off and not have to worry about work. If I could afford it, I would prefer to take a whole week off, but that won't be happening for a while.
I am debating about whether I want to work Sunday or not. I am already working all day Saturday.
I planned to drink some alcohol and play Sims Online Sat night so maybe I shouldn't work Sunday. I may be up all night playing games and I don't want to be hung over and tired at work on Sunday so it is probably best that I don't schedule to work that day.

06:23 pm - Project......Done!
I finished my side project earlier than I anticipated and way ahead of the deadline!
I was worried because between my regular job and this side project, I didn't think I would get anything turned in before the deadlines. Now that I am finished, I can consentrate 100% on my regular job and the reports that come along with that.
Now I can just sit back and wait for my check from my finished project. Hopefully, I will get it before Christmas. I need money.

12:56 pm - Problem Gone
Looks like my problem agent is quitting! After my boss put the heat on her to prove she was not scamming, she has decided to scrape up the last of her dignity and quit due to "personal" reasons. We all know she left because she was thisclose to being let go, but I will allow her to leave with a few strands of dignity, I guess.
At least that is one problem I don't have to deal with now. *whew*

10:38 pm - My Wits End
I am so tired of a particular agent. She is forever trying to scam the system and it is grating my nerves. Our boss is well aware of the situation and she is skating on some very thin ice at the moment. She has an excuse for EVERYTHING and when I shoot down her excuses, she piles even more on.
People like that always wind up hanging themselves so I am confident that either she will straightend up or will be let go if things don't change.
I don't know what is worse, her thinking I am stupid or her thinking she is getting away with scamming the system.

08:50 pm - Reports, Reports, Projects and Reports
I am so overwhelmed right now. Now that I am doing two jobs at once, I am feeling the pressure of deadlines right now. Luckily, my second job is just seasonal and will be over in a couple of weeks. But that is also the bad news since that is how long I have to get done with my project.
Between the reports that are due for my regular job and the project I have taken on for my side job which is due in two weeks AND the fact that they all are due around Christmas, I am freaking out.
Time management isn't my best skill.
So for the next couple of weeks, I am going to be a wreck. Let's hope by New Years, I am still holding on to at least a bit of my sanity.

03:16 pm - Stuck On Stupid
People are quick to complain about the intelligence of some of our customers but to be honest, some of the agents lack common sense much of the time.
Example...
Email: Make sure you do not have anything other than [Brand Name Here] firewall on your computers. Here is the link to download this firewall if you don't have it. [Link Inserted Here]
Agent: So, does that mean I cannot have [Insert A Different Brand Name Here] firewall? Can't I have both?
Me: No, email stats you can only have the approved firewall.
Agent: Do I need to take my other firewall off my computer then?
Me: Email stats the ONLY firewall on your computer should be [Brand Name Here]. So yes, uninstall the other one.
Agent: Where can I get the firewall that IS approved?
Me: Email gave you the link. Please refer to original email.
Agent: I lost/deleted the email can you tell me the address to get the firewall?
Me: Here is the link again. Please keep this in a SAFE place in case you need it again. [Gave link Here}
Agent: I don't understand why we can't have the other firewall. It works well and I love it.
Me: Because the tech dept has determined that the only firewall that works well with the system is the one they require.
I may be fueling the fire by constantly answering the agent when they ask stupid questions, but I hate ignorance and so if I give them the answers they cannot walk around ignorant of the rules. Also, I like them to feel like an idiot when I direct them to the very email they are asking about. 9 times out of 10 the answers to their questions are found in the email.
I go through several of these types of conversations all day every day.
Some people, whether customers, agents, or whoever are STUCK ON STUPID.
